Labrador retriever, Labrador or just a nick lab is a medium- large dog breed with good looking, smart and  innocent face is most popular dog bred in USA and around world.The Labrador dog is moderate dog breed  to be both a friendly companion and a useful working dog breed. old history tells that they were used for fishermen help  hauling nets, fetching ropes, and retrieving fish from the chilly North Atlantic sea. Labrador Retrievers are America's number one dog and  have won title of being America's most popular dog breed for the 25th year in a row.The Kennel Club (England) recognized the Lab in 1903, and the American Kennel Club registered its first dog of the breed in 1917.


History

The Labrador Retriever is basically  traditional water dog of Newfoundland a city in Canada originated in 1500, had been used as a duck retriever and fisherman’s mate. The breed began its steady climb to supreme popularity in the early 1800 s, when Labrador were spotted by English nobles during their visit to Canada. These British lords returned to England with fine specimens of Labrador dogs.  During the latter half of the 19th century, British breeders refined and standardized the breed.

They are energetic, mostly placid, and cope well with the hustle and bustle of modern life.
